This presentation explores Brazil's transition to TV 3.0 and the inclusion of VVC, MPEG-5 LCEVC and MPEG-H in the SBTVD standard. Building on the success of the live broadcast pilot of the Paris Olympics 2024 and FIFA World Cup 2022 showcase, Brazil's broadcasters and the SBTVD forum are making significant TV technology advancements, offering substantial improvements in service quality. Attendees will learn how device manufacturers, technology vendors, and broadcasters are joining to launch TV 3.0 in April, with a nationwide rollout later in 2025.
