As Sinclair migrated their TV station master control rooms (MCR) to the cloud, they needed a solution for managing the delivery of the hundreds of live contribution feeds from national networks, local news and studios to the cloud as well as for the cloud MCR outputs which must be sent back to the local markets for broadcast. This case study will detail how Sinclair overcame these challenges by moving to an IP-based platform, improving efficiency, reducing costs, minimizing troubleshooting, and enabling a predictable and optimized architecture for its broadcast operations.
